Five Special Beer releases this month
April 1 - Cask-Conditioned Jack Tar Irish Stout with Amarena Cherries
This low alcohol session ale has been conditioned in the classic British style resulting in a smooth, low-carbonation beer. Cherries add a subtle fruitiness which compliments the mild roasted character of the dark malts. 4.5% ABV
April 7 - Mango Mint Mosaic Single Hop IPA
Our Single Hop Series aims to highlight the uniqueness of a single varietal of hops by using only one varietal from the beginning of the brew process to the end. Mosaic is an exceedingly aromatic hop, giving off tropical fruit flavors and aromas such as mango, peach and guava. After an infusion of mango and mint, the result is a tropical, refreshing pint of beer. Our Mosaic SHIPA goes quickly so we anticipate this special version will be gone even quicker. Get it while it lasts! 6.1% ABV
April 14 - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Boars Russian Imperial Stout
Our Russian Imperial Stout is full-bodied and full-flavored before we age it in bourbon barrels. Aging this beer softens some of the rougher edges on the roasted malts, while also adding characteristics of nice bourbon. Vanilla, oak and some of that bourbon spice, blend perfectly with the caramel toasted malt and roasted grain notes of the RIS. 8.4% ABV
April 21 - Secret Sour Saison with Raspberries
For this beer we took our W.E.B. du Bois Saison and added Brettanomyces yeast along with other wild sour “bugs” close to the end of primary fermentation. The result is a Saison-based beer with more funky aromatics than actual sour flavor. Next, we added pounds and pounds of raspberries to the sour beer imparting the brilliant pink hue and the tart raspberry. The flavors of raspberry poke through the subtle Saison spice and citrus peel leaving a bone-dry finish of tart fruit and earthy tones. 6.5% ABV
"Corked and Caged" Limited Beer Release
We are offering very special and extremely limited bottled beer projects from Bull City Burger and Brewery beginning this year. The second limited release will happen April 28, 2017 to celebrate NC Craft Beer Month.
2016 Oak Barrel-Aged Durhamer Ale
- Very Limited 750 ml bottles available-
We took a small portion of this batch of Durhamer and aged it in whiskey barrels to give this new style of beer an added layer of complexity. The beer started with a biscuity flavor, and the time spent in barrels added notes of vanilla, caramel and toasted wood. The hops have mellowed to the point of almost non-existence, allowing the whiskey and malt characteristics of the beer to blend with each other and dominate the flavor. Styles have been created around the world by using local ingredients and then defined by tradition. This is a limited release, enjoy it while you can.
Very Limited: one bottle per person for the first week of release please, then open sales to everyone - just $19.99 per 750ml bottle.
This will not be served in the restaurant. This will not be available in local stores.
