Why do we serve exotic meats?
Exotic Meat Month is a chance to experience tastes that other cultures enjoy every day. It is a chance to learn about new flavors and increase your cultural awareness. It’s also fun! EMM is a chance to step outside the box and experience ingredients that are daring, fresh and exciting. And yes, Tarantulas are a street food in Cambodia.
How do I know what meat is being served?
Keep an eye on our Facebook, X/Twitter, or Instagram pages. We will update these as we are running out of our current exotic meat option and let you know what we will be serving next. We do our best to forecast which burgers are on deck and what meat is being served next, but we can't promise anyone a burger or exactly when it will be served. Burgers are first come, first serve - there is no way to reserve a specific burger. Some meats are very expensive so they may be served as a slider to keep the cost reasonable. The good news is that some of the meats will be served more than once! So if you miss a particular meat, keep an eye out because you may have a second chance later in the month.
How do I earn a free Exotic Meat Month T-shirt?
Save any seven exotic meat receipts from this year and show them to a manager to receive a free EMM T-shirt. Receipts for a t-shirt must be from the current year. It does not have to be seven different exotic meats. Purchases can be all on one receipt, but only one shirt will be issued for every seven exotic meat items. T-shirt sizes may be limited.
How may I get a Tarantula or Scorpion Burger?
Like all Exotic Meats, these are available first come - first serve. Scorpion Burgers will be available - Sunday, April 14, and Tarantula Burgers will be available - Sunday, April 21. On Sunday, April 28th we will sell all remaining Scorpion and Tarantula Burgers - if any remain.
Are there any dessert options for EMM?
We are so glad you asked. Yes! This year we have a Spicy Tamarind Cricket Sorbet topped with Tajin and Spicy Seasoned Crickets. We will also be serving Dark Chocolate Bug Bark: house-made dark chocolate loaded with a mix of crispy, crunchy bugs (bug mix includes but is not limited to crickets, mealworms, and ants). Enjoy a "candy bar" sized serving, or as a topping option for our homemade ice cream. We're guessing you can’t find toppings this special anywhere else.
What's on the menu? It could be any of these meats and more.
Fine Print: We do our best to forecast which burgers are on deck and what meat is being served, but we can't promise anyone a burger or exactly when it will be served. You cannot reserve a burger. We try to offer some meats twice during the month to give everyone an opportunity to try a specific meat. Some meats are extremely limited and some are very expensive. We may offer a smaller burger or a slider to contain the cost to something reasonable. Receipts for a t-shirt must be from the current year. You can have any seven exotic meat burgers. They can be duplicates. They can be all on one receipt, but only one shirt per person per seven receipts. T-shirt sizes may be limited. We cannot guarantee your t-shirt size.
