Restaurant Manager (FOH) with the Pie Pan, Inc family of Restaurants

Who we are:
We are Bull City Burger and Brewery, Pompieri Pizza, and Bull City Solera and Taproom in Durham, NC. We are a group of “Heartbeats” trying to make a difference in our community through food. We are passionate about the people who work in our company, our customers, and the community around us. We strive to care for the planet through sustainable practices and where we source our food in our restaurants. We will forgo profit in order to sustain those around us. We live by People, Planet, Profit, in that order.  

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating outstanding and memorable customer experiences
  • Sharing your passion for craft beer
  • ​Leading our “Heartbeats” to excel in their positions
  • Opening and closing the restaurants, running the daily operations
  • ​​Learning the inner workings of all our restaurants so you can become a multi-talented team member
  • Training new “Heartbeats” and working to improve their skills along the way
  • ​Dealing with financials with the end of day accounting
  • Planning and participating in special events and annual events
  • ​Coaching/counseling employees 
  • Interviewing applicants and assisting with on-boarding new “Heartbeats”
  • Being a leader willing to jump in and help however necessary

​What skills/experience we are looking for:
  • 2+ years in a restaurant position
  • 1+ years of management experience is a must, preferably in a restaurant
  • A willingness to provide servant leadership to our “Heartbeats”
  • A passion for food and beer/wine/cocktails
  • A commitment to sustainability and the future of our planet
  • ​An interest in a long term position helping to grow the organization - we’ve got an exciting vision for the future
More details:
  • 45-ish hours per week - 2 days off most weeks
  • Presently we are open weeknights M-Th and all day Fri/Sat/Sun - so flexibility is required days/nights/weekends/holidays 
  • Must show a willingness to get to know our “Heartbeats” and help develop a culture where they can thrive​
  • We require all our “Heartbeats” to wear a mask while at work due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to submit to a basic health screening at the start of each shift
